#25: Shortcomings by Adrian Tomine
As Brooklyn finally got a little respite from the rain today, I finally got to go to the park. But not before I went to the bookstore where I made one purchase, saw this on the way out, and then had to face the same checkout lady again. I carried this small graphic novel (is it considered that?) with me to Prospect and easily finished in an hour. The artistry is great and the story is of a couple having the problems most couples seem to have these days. I don’t know how he does it, but Tomine always seems to get it right. Besides, this remains one of my favorite things ever.
P.S. It’s raining. Again.
