Last weekend I went to San Francisco with a few friends. We did all kinds of things like ride bikes around the bay, hang out with old friends, find public bathrooms in hospitals, search for future homes, and discuss the great state of Texas with a crush worthy cab driver. But since this is a book related blog, this is the content you get. Oh, and for the record, these are photos I took myself in order to prove my literary journey happened. There is no way I could have found this kind of beauty on a google search.
The first picture is of City Lights, a very famous bookstore kind of near Chinatown. Their section on muckraking was twice the size of the graphic novel corner. Next is Booksmith, a store I found while walking in the Mission. It was fantastic and had a shelf devoted entirely to books that are melancholy. Finally, I ended up at 826 Valencia where I bought a small magnifying glass in order to support the reading and writing aspirations of small children. For good measure, I added a picture of a burrito from Taqueria Cancun.
